About Denver, CO

As one of the most energetic cities in the country, Denver and its surrounding suburbs welcome visitors with its breathtaking mountain views, lively cultural scene, and over 300 days of sunshine annually. Known as “The Mile High City,” Denver provides a distinctive mix of urban elegance and outdoor fun, featuring walkable neighborhoods, award-winning restaurants, and easy access to the Rocky Mountains.

Located in the Mountain Time Zone — just 100 miles south of Cheyenne, WY; 450 miles south of Albuquerque, NM — Denver and its neighboring suburbs usually experience cooler temperatures ideal for outdoor adventures in September. Keep in mind that a popular saying for the area is “Four Seasons in a Day,” as the elevation and proximity to mountains mean some days Coloradans may see morning sun, afternoon snow, and evening clear skies.
