Michael Fraher

As Chief Operating Officer, Michael leads operations for Shields nationwide and is responsible for driving the highest level of patient care, operational excellence, growth acceleration, and margin enhancement for Shields’ 80+ health system partners. 

In his previous role as Market President, Michael oversaw day-to-day operations for partners in New England, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Southwest regions, helping to drive growth and the highest levels of clinical and operational success. In his earlier role as Senior Vice President of the New England Region, Michael helped drive consistent growth among the company’s most mature and founding partners.

Prior to joining Shields, Michael spent several years at Epic leading implementations and completing consulting assignments with Mass General Brigham, Northwestern, and several of the nation’s other top tier Academic Medical Centers. During his time at Epic, he also completed the first ever Epic implementation in the United Kingdom at Cambridge University’s Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Michael holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University.
