Brian Smith
CHIEF PHARMACY OFFICER
As Chief Pharmacy Officer, Brian leads the company’s clinical strategy, pharmacy operations, manufacturer relations, ancillary services and clinical compliance initiatives. Overall, it is Brian’s role to ensure that Shields provides legendary care to every patient at each of the company’s hospital partner sites across the country while maintaining the highest clinical and regulatory standards. Prior to Shields, Brian was the Director of Clinical Services and Education at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Before that, Brian was an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Graduate Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Brian holds a BS and PharmD from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
