Kalisa Barratt serves as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer and Chair of the Compliance and Privacy Steering Committee at Shields. She is also an active member of the organization’s Quality and AI Governance Committees.
With more than 30 years of experience across healthcare providers and life sciences organizations, both nationally and internationally, Kalisa is a seasoned leader in regulatory compliance and privacy. She brings deep expertise in designing, implementing, and sustaining comprehensive compliance and privacy programs, leading internal investigations, and managing voluntary disclosures.
Kalisa is a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board, championing a culture of integrity and accountability while providing strategic guidance on complex compliance and privacy matters. She collaborates closely with colleagues across the organization to strengthen and advance Shields’ enterprise-wide Compliance and Privacy Program.
Prior to joining Shields, Kalisa held senior leadership roles across multiple healthcare organizations, most recently serving as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer at Atrius Health.
She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Vermont Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from the University of Massachusetts.
Outside of work, Kalisa enjoys skiing, hiking, golf, and traveling. She resides in Central Massachusetts with her labradoodle, Millie.
